Handmade Beaded Bookmarks
I have been busy making bookmarks using metal blanks and embellishing them with either gemstone or swarvoski crystal beaded dangles for several weeks. They are popular gifts selling both online from Sea Witch’s Cavern or at our Craft Fayres and I needed to build the stock up.
Glass Thong Bookmark
The glass beaded thong pictured above is the first of it’s kind that I have made. Made from silk cord, glass beads and silver plated beads. I am pleased with the effect of the silver plated filigree cone beads, they give the bookmark a touch of class.
Swarovski Mermaid Bookmark
When I embellished the silver plated mermaid bookmarks I stuck with the sea theme for the charms and also for the colours of the Swarovski crystals. There are two different colourways this lovely sea green with a shell charm and the aqua blue with the starfish charm charm.
Dragon Bookmark
This fiery Pewter dragon using carnelian and onyx beads gave a more masculine effect than the bookmarks with Swarovski crystals. I also loved the pewter dragons and felt that natural coloured gemstones beads would compliment the fantasy.
